Development

Already in his early life J.H.Block has oriented himself in artistic directions +++ Since 1968, he worked intensively with oil painting and received lessons from Ivent Kitzler +++ From 1980 to 1983 he took lessons from B. Ross in portrait and nute painting in Berlin +++ In the years from 1995 to 1997 he experimented with watercolor painting +++ In the following years he took lessons from Valentin Rusin, a graduate of the Art Academy in Kharkov (USSR), for about 3 years+++ At the same time he developed techniques of etching and various printing techniques +++ He still works with the artist group ARKA Kulturwerkstatt at Zeche Zollverein (United Nations World Heritage) in the field of graphic works +++ From 2001 to 2002, J.H.Block was a master student of Prof. Dr. Qi Yang in Bochum and Düsseldorf +++ In 2002 he studied the techniques of Chinese ink painting from Prof. Wang in China +++ In 2012, admission to the Ruhrländischen Artists Association, based in "Forum Kunst und Architektur", Essen +++ since that time, J.H.Block exhibit his works on diverse world fairs, for example in Copenhagen, Taiwan, Argentina, Sardinia, China, Malta and Mexico.
